VENEFIT FOR VARICOSE VEINS

It is fairly easy to know if you are suffering from varicose veins due to their enlarged and colorful appearance. You may not think that you have to worry about your varicose veins if they are not causing any problems at the moment, but it can become an extremely dangerous condition when left untreated. In addition to chronic pain, varicose veins can also cause blood flow problems when the condition worsens. If you are tired of dealing with varicose veins and do not want to risk any future health problems, then it is time to eliminate your problem with Venefit™.

What Is Venefit™?

Venefit™ is a minimally invasive procedure designed to eliminate your problematic varicose veins with radiofrequency energy. The procedure will instantly improve the appearance of your legs while eliminating the potential health risks associated with big varicose veins. The radiofrequency energy will force the collagen inside the veins to contract. The vein will collapse once it no longer has collagen. Closing the vein essentially eliminates it from the body and forces the blood to flow through your healthy veins.

What Is Involved in Treatment?

The first step of the Venefit™ procedure is to map out your veins using ultrasound. This will allow our specialist to determine the exact vein that is causing your issues. Once the problematic vein is found, a catheter will be placed inside the diseased vein. The catheter will then deliver the radiofrequency energy to close the vein. Another ultrasound will be performed to ensure that your troublesome vein has been permanently closed. It should take approximately 30 to 45 minutes to perform the Venefit™ procedure. You will receive a local anesthetic to help you stay comfortable during your treatment.

You will be taken into a recovery room after your treatment has been completed. A bandage will be applied to your leg to speed up the healing process. After a few minutes of resting, you may be asked to slowly walk around the recovery room. If everything looks good, then you will be allowed to go home. While you should try to walk as much as possible while recovering, you must avoid any rigorous activities. You will also want to avoid standing still for an extended period of time. It should only take about one week to completely recover from the procedure.

Since the diseased vein is instantly closed from treatment, you should notice a drastic improvement in the appearance of your leg immediately after procedure is finished. Your leg will look even better once you are fully recovered. If you were experiencing any pain from your varicose veins, then it may take up to one week for your symptoms to improve. Your closed vein will be absorbed by the surrounding tissue over time, so there is no risk of the varicose veins returning in the future after getting Venefit™.
