WHAT IS VENEFIT?

Venefit™ is a newer procedure for treating varicose veins, and unlike some of the alternative treatments, it uses radio frequency energy to target problematic veins. This procedure can help people who have chronic venous insufficiency or varicose veins.

During the procedure, radiofrequency energy is used to generate heat within the vein walls. After the treatment, the veins safely collapse and become sealed shut. Once the vein has been treated, blood flow is redirected to healthy veins.

Do I Have Venous Insufficiency?

Chronic venous insufficiency is a progressive condition and it causes valves within the legs to stop working properly, which results in blood pooling within leg veins. When blood begins to pool in the veins, they will expand and cause fatigue, leg heaviness, swelling and pain.

Varicose veins can protrude beyond your skin’s surface, and aside from the painful symptoms, they can bring your self-esteem down. If you’d like to do something about your varicose veins, it might be time to consider Venefit™.

What are the Advantages of Venefit™?

When compared with some alternative treatments, Venefit™ offers several advantages. One of the major benefits of this procedure is the lack of downtime, and you should be able to resume your normal activities after the treatment. This procedure can give you long-lasting relief from the symptoms of chronic vein insufficiency and varicose veins. Clinical trials have shown Venefit™ to be great at sealing off veins and reducing symptoms.

How Does Venefit™ Work?

During the treatment, radio frequency energy safely closes the problematic vein. Once the vein is closed, blood is sent to more healthy veins. The treated veins will then become scar tissue and become absorbed by the body to never be seen again. For maximum patient comfort, local anesthesia is used.

What Makes Venefit™ Different?

Vein stripping is a surgical procedure, and it involves the removal of the vein through an incision. This requires downtime and discomfort that you can easily avoid with Venefit™.

Vein stripping is also performed in an operating room and requires full anesthesia. Since the Venefit™ procedure doesn’t require surgery and doesn’t remove your veins, it’s much less invasive, and it requires significantly less time for the procedure and recovery.
